PADI IDC Staff InstructorIDC Audit Overview

IDC Staff Instructors may audit IDCs in order to gain teaching experience at this level. Credit towards applying to the Master Instructor and Course Director Training Course is also earned. As the name implies, IDC Staff Instructors assist with instructor training and share their wisdom and experience with new PADI leaders. 

You’ll get the thrill of mentoring prospective PADI Instructors as they begin their Assistant Instructor training and the joy of guiding them through their Instructor Examinations.

Prerequisites

  • Certified as a PADI IDC Staff Instructor or Master Instructor

Course Materials Required

  • Course Director Manual
  • Set of Evaluation Slates including: Confined Water Presentation Evaluation Slate, Open Water Presentation Evaluation Slate and the Skill Development Score Slate

Equipment Needed

  • Scuba and scuba equipment.
  • Tanks and Weights provided
  • Two signaling devices – one audible and one visual
  • Cutting tool such as a knife, compass and dive watch

  • All-inclusive: $399 includes tanks, weights, pool/boat/lake fees, IDC course completion form and letter of participation.
