The PADI Rescue Diver course is a pivotal step in expanding a diver's knowledge and experience. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves to consider the safety and well-being of other divers. Rescue Diver training expands the basic problem prevention and accident management skills student divers learn in the Open Water Diver course. At the Rescue Diver level, students are ready to learn to manage more complex dive emergencies and to apply direct intervention techniques to assist others in an emergency.

PADI Rescue Diver course goals are to:
- Increase awareness ofer safety.
- Develop diver's abilities to anticipate and prevent problems as well as to manage them.
- Teach effective rescue techniques and first aid skills specific to scuba diving.
- Prepare divers to manage diver emergency situations.
- Expand diver knowledge in preparation for PADI leadership-level training.

The Rescue Diver course consists of several training sessions that span over 3-4 days. The class sessions can be custom designed to meet the needs of your schedule.
Rescue Diver Course Includes:
- All lectures and pool sessions
- Course materials and books
- 4 Open Water Dives (dive accident scenerios)
- The Psychology of Rescue (self rescue and diver stress)
- Emergency Oxygen Delivery Systems
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Accident Management
- Responding to Diver Emergencies
- 10 Rescue Training & Rescue Scenarios (confined water)
- 4 Resuce Scenarios (open water)
- PADI Certification fees
- Price: $450
Student provides:
- Advanced Open Water certification with 20 or more logged dives.
- Scuba equipment: BCD, regulator, octopus, mask, fins, snorkel
- Scuba equipment rental is available.
- Certified Open Water diver.
- Minimum 12 years of age (under 15 years old obtains PADI Junior Rescue Diver certification).
